Sacred Heart International School, Pammam, is proud to be recognised as a participating member of the PISA for Schools Assessment Cycle 2025, conducted by ExcelOne, the National Service Provider for PISA for Schools – India.
Through its participation in the assessment, the school joins a global community of institutions committed to international benchmarking, evidence-informed educational practices and continuous improvement. The PISA for Schools programme provides valuable insights into students’ learning and helps schools reflect on their educational practices in comparison with global standards.

The Council for conducting Grade 10 & 12 Examinations in India was established in 1958 by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate. In 1973 the Council became an independent body for conducting public examinations in India and was renamed the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ICSE).
The curriculum of the ICSE is akin to that of the GCSE — the British system of public examinations. The ICSE Examination therefore enjoys extensive and wide recognition in foreign countries.

Quality Standard
ISO 21001-2018 certified institution
SHIS is an ISO 21001-2018 certified institution — a quality management system standard for providers of education and training services. The process of certification takes into consideration all relevant areas of school quality, including the quality of both management and staff.
We are the first school in Tamil Nadu to receive this prestigious standardisation, established in 2018 exclusively for educational institutions. Children of our school carrying their certificate with the logo (ISO 21001-2018) will get maximum benefit for higher studies or job opportunities within the country or abroad.
British Council Award
IDS — International Dimension in Schools
An important milestone in the history of SHIS is the reception of the prestigious IDS Award from The British Council for the year 2025–2028. International Dimension in Schools is a benchmarking scheme that accredits schools having an outstanding level of support for nurturing global citizenship in young people and enriching teaching and learning.
It celebrates the effort of schools to include international work as part of their curriculum and helps embed it within the culture of the school.

Certified to the QS I•GAUGE Indian School Rating
QS I•GAUGE is a comprehensive and independent rating system for India’s educational institutions. Consisting of seven primary indicators and five secondary indicators, ranging from Teaching & Learning, Faculty Quality, Employability, Student Diversity, Infrastructure Facilities, Social Responsibility and Innovations, the QS I•GAUGE rating provides a unique 360-degree perspective to India’s top-notch institutions.
After the assessment, institutions are awarded an overall rating ranging from Bronze to Diamond+, depending on the number of points achieved through the evaluation. Our School has received the DIAMOND rating, next only to DIAMOND+, for fulfilling the seven primary indicators mentioned above.
Cambridge English
A centre for international English examinations
SHIS has become a centre for the Cambridge Young Learners English Tests — YLE, KET, PET, FCE, CAE and more. We conduct Cambridge International Examinations in our institution to improve students’ skills in the English language.
These examinations help meet the English language requirements for future studies abroad, and through this programme students’ confidence in communicating effectively in English improves.
